Tooth Fairy Ideas and Keeping those Tiny Teeth Healthy #4

February 28, 2018

Okay!  We have covered lots of important information to build healthy oral hygiene habits in order to keep those tiny teeth healthy… So now it is time to have a little fun!  In the dental world, fun usually involves our dental super hero the TOOTH FAIRY and at Wasilla Dental Center that also includes THE MOLAR-NATER! (Dr. Coffman)!  Today, in Honor of National Tooth Fairy Day the staff at WDC is dressing up for the part and has put together some fun ideas to incorporate into your family traditions!

Books:

When your child is at the age where they will start to lose teeth you may notice them getting a little nervous about the whole situation. After all, its kinda a strange thing... all of the sudden their tooth is loose, then gone, then a tooth fairy comes and takes it away…. and a new tooth grows into place!  That is a lot of information for our tiny teeth holders; this is why Dr. Coffman recommends adding a few tooth fairy stories into their book collection to ease their nerves and make the whole process a lot more exciting.

Here are a few examples!

Tooth Fairy FREE Printables:

Sometimes it is the extra details that sell an experience, and in the Coffman household we will be using these cute printable extras to keep track of teeth lost, how the tooth was lost, and to create a little extra magic in the tooth fairy delivery system.

Also, we are saving this link for those forgetful moments!

Tooth Fairy Pillows:

Finally, when Dr. Coffman first started at WDC, a very sweet patient made our daughter a tooth fairy pillow! This little pillow is one that she adores and so looks forward to using when she FINALLY (she is very excited) losses her first tooth!  Below are a couple of links to little pillows one that is DIY and another to buy!

Happy National Tooth Fairy Day!!!  We hope everyone has fun creating tooth fairy traditions in their households and we would love to see pictures and hear stories from your own tooth fairy adventures!

The fact is that raising kids is hard and working to give our kids healthy habits across the board is something all parents strive to do.  At Wasilla Dental Center we are here to help you reach these goals by providing education and working with you to keep those tiny teeth healthy.

February is National Children’s Dental Health month and at WDC we are ready to celebrate!  This month’s 17 and under patients will be entered to win an automatic toothbrush!  Kids who share a coloring sheet with us will be entered to win a gift basket!
